FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • What does Ask Brew House mean when it says it is “organic and raw”?

From our loose-leaf teas to the sugar we use, organic means no pesticides or harmful chemicals are used during the production process. We carry that approach into our brewing process as well. During the first fermentation, Ask Brew House steeps herbs, fruits, and spices along with our organic loose leaf tea, to create a 100% natural product. Many will add juices and flavor additives on the second fermentation, which has big implications on the sugar content and integrity of the product.

By not altering our product after this initial fermentation, we can say our Kombucha is truly 100% raw!
  • Why does a bottle of Kombucha cost so much?

Value is built upon our organic ingredients, the production process standards, the brew craftsmanship, and the craftsmanship of our bottles (colored to keep out sunlight and keep oxidations levels optimal, shaped and designed to prevent spilling and regulate intake)
  • Is it gluten-free, vegan, and non-gmo?

    You better believe it!
  • What is the amount of alcohol in the bottle of Kombucha?

ASK Brew House Kombucha has from 0.1% to 0.6% alcohol. However, it is important to note that it will continue to ferment in the bottle, so keep it refrigerated at all times.
  • What happens if I drink too much Kombucha?

Because of the probiotic nature of Kombucha and other gut cleansing elements, it is wise to be mindful of your own body and how it’s responding to the healthy bacteria, yeasts, and organic acids. If drinking Kombucha is new to your system, we suggest starting with one bottle per day and working towards no more than 4-5 bottles per day (1-1.5 liters)
  • Is Kombucha safe for kids?

While it is known to be a healthy beverage for all immune systems, the small amount of caffeine and trace amounts of alcohol should make us mindful of how much children have. Their systems are more sensitive than adults, and for this reason we would not recommend it for anyone under three.
  • What is floating in my Kombucha?

ASK ́s handcrafted Kombucha is raw and not pasteurized, meaning that enzymes and beneficial gut bacteria are still living in the brew to maximize all the health benefits. Even though we triple filter every bottle, over time, a small SCOBY will grow in the bottle, which signals that the bacteria are doing well.
  • What are the health benefits?

ASK Brew House Kombucha is a probiotic, which means your gut is filled with billions of healthy bacteria. Details include:
    • Beneficial bacteria and yeasts (acetic acetobar, lactobacillus, saccharomyces) aid in digestion and a healthy gut.
    • Organic acids: acetic acid, lactic acid, propionic acid, glucuronic acid and gluconic acid. These organic acids are known to improve our intake of vitamins, prevent accumulation of heavy metals and insoluble oxalates, inhibit pathogenic bacteria, support joints, and improve our immunity.
What do these technical terms mean to you regarding health? Bloating or gas is reduced, and we experience an increased sense of energy, alertness, and an overall sensation of well-being. We at Ask Brew House challenge our customers to try our beverages and decide for themselves what benefits they gain!
